04 Jan 07 _ AWP redesigns the Cornell Virology site
The website for the Cornell Program in Virology was in need of a fresh, updated look. As the Spring term at Cornell was fast approaching, program director, Colin Parrish, was becoming concerned over the image being projected by the site to prospective graduate students. Already familiar with the work we had done for the Baker Institute for Animal Health at Cornell, Colin was confident that we could refresh the image of the Cornell Virology Program with a site redesign.
The challenge for us as designers was to create a fresh and distinct web presence for the Virology program while still preserving key elements of the Cornell look. Did we pull it off? We think the website’s before and after speak for themselves!
In Colin’s own words:
“The faculty pages look awesome – this is so great… I have had several people ask about the web design, and I suspect you will be getting a variety of inquiries if you want to deal with more sites like this.”
